Facilities Strategy Manager

Fremont, California


Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. What we do:

The Facilities Strategy Manager will be responsible for creating reports to include financial analysis on department spend as it relates to OPEX and CAPEX. The position will work closely with Facilities Site Managers and Finance Managers to track each line item by vendors and budget codes. They will also create compelling stories using PowerPoint to tell our Facilities story. You should have great organizational skills to assist our team manage and maintain schedules as well as organize our shared files and folders so that they are cataloged in such a way that is easy to go back and locate documents.

What you can do:

  • Assist in tracking the overall Facilities budget and become our in-house guru that will liaise with the Finance team to ensure alignment and accurate tracking
  • Partner with Facilities Site Managers and Construction Project Managers to accurately track each construction project budget, change orders, changes in scope, and process necessary paperwork to collect tenant improvement allowances
  • Create a process in which all material changes on a project are appropriately recorded
  • Oversee facility leases, expiry dates, restoration clauses, etc.
  • Participate in the financial close and provide cash flow projections
  • Present regular updates to the company, including the Executive Committee
  • Create and manage an organized filing system for shared files
  • Create a process where we get into the habit of saving attachments from emails in a manner that is easy to understand and quickly locate
  • Ad hoc projects as necessary, including M&A integration and adoption of new standards
  • Lead the Facilities budget formulation process Work with Facilities Site Managers to ensure that they are being held accountable for their respective budgets
  • Other duties as assigned

What you can contribute:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or another relevant field
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant facilities management experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
  • Strong integrity dealing with highly confidential and critical information
  • Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to problem-solve
  • Continuous improvement mindset to help automate and evolve processes
  • Ability to work independently and drive Facilities agenda forward

You may also be able to contribute:

  • Master’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience at a Real Estate or architectural firm
  • Experience working for Real Estate firms plus
  • Experience at an Architectural firm
  • Experience in Financial Management and/or Reporting
