Sr. IT Solutions Engineer

What we do:

Our organization is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Solutions Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Services to join our team. The primary responsibility of the role is to design and implement complex IT solutions that use Microsoft products and services such as M365 E5, SharePoint, Endpoint, Intune, and Purview. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, the ability to work collaboratively, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality IT solutions.

What you can do:

• Work collaboratively with team members to understand their business needs and develop export-controlled policies and procedures for SharePoint solutions
• Perform regular audits and reviews of SharePoint permissions to ensure compliance with company export-controlled policies
• Implement security controls and ensure the security and integrity of SharePoint data
• Participate in capacity planning and ensure that SharePoint environments are optimized for performance
• Automate Microsoft Teams creation process including approvals
• Design, deploy, and maintain endpoint solutions for our clients, including Windows 10 & 11, iOS, and Android devices
• Perform device management by maintaining the Intune/autopilot environment, conditional access, application packaging and deployment, and Windows patching
• Ensures all company endpoints are within compliance with the common operating environment, identifying and remediating discrepancies
• Stay up-to-date with the latest products and services and provide recommendations on their use in client solutions
• Design, install, configure, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure
• Lead and maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows Server services
• Configure and maintain RDS services
• Perform Windows server backups and collaborate with team on disaster recovery tests
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate Windows Server tasks
• Monitor system performance and solve issues as they arise.
• Ensure system security by implementing standard processes and managing antivirus software
• Ensure that IT solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the client's expectation
• Work closely with IT Security staff to monitor and follow up on security alerts that come out of the Microsoft (and other cloud app) monitoring systems.

What you can contribute:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT solutions engineering with a specialization in Microsoft services (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
• Experience developing & maintaining SharePoint solutions with 2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint Online
• Experience with working in OKTA as the primary Identity Access Management tool for Single Sign On & Life Cycle Management
• Experience in developing compliance solutions using Microsoft 365 Compliance apps and services, primarily Purview Information Protection (MIP & AIP), as well as M365/Endpoint DLP
• Experience leading projects from conception to delivery
• Strong understanding of IT industry architecture principles and standard processes
• Experience with SharePoint web parts, workflows, event receivers, and other SharePoint customizations
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, SCCM, and other endpoint management tools
• Familiarity with endpoint security and endpoint data protection
• A deep understanding of the Microsoft 365 (M365) Purview compliance architecture and administration
• An understanding of all components that comprise the Purview Secure Score and Purview Compliance Score
• DLP and RIM labels and policies creation & maintenance
• Experience in hybrid Active Directory environments
• Experience with Windows Server 2022 system administration
• Knowledge in PowerShell scripting for automation
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partners
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
• Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
