Sr. SW Build Engineer

Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. What we do:

The Intelligent SW team possesses knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing. The SW Build Engineer performs daily software builds for R&D team, troubleshooting and resolving complex software integration issues and Develop tools and processes to improve and R&D workflows.

What you can do:

• Drive the architecture and development of key projects, focused on the automation, and scalability, and software release pipeline
• Analyze build and test cycle time, robustness and optimize software builds
• Develop tools to enable developer efficiency for build, test and release tasks
• Performing daily software builds
• Own to configure project code bases for R&D team
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex software integration issues
• Developing tools and processes to improve and automate R&D workflows
• Enhancing and maintaining automation tools and web services
• Filing actionable bugs and resolving bugs efficiently
• Other duties as assigned

What you can contribute:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• A minimum of five (5) years of SW development and build infrastructure experience
• Previous experience working on a project that has a build and release process integrating multiple SW components
• Significant experience with build dependencies at various levels (header dependencies, linking dependencies, tools dependencies, package dependencies...)
• Experience creating and managing software package dependencies (such as: deb, dmg)
• Breath of knowledge on a variety of techniques and tools in the areas of build, test, deploy, and release
• Source code management and Git internals, Jenkins or similar tools
• Familiar with artifact management solutions (antifactory, aptly, package mirrors)
• Demonstrated experience with project level build tools such as bazel, CMake, Make, buck, ninja for large scale software
• Ability to script in python, bash
• Excellent software development process skills
• Cloud orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Source code analysis and indexing
• Hands-on, proactive, excellent at problem solving and have a strong desire to learn

• Masters' degree preferred
