Sr. SW Project Engineer

Supernal is at the forefront of creating emerging mobility solutions that will foster the development of human-centered cities. We are designing a completely new electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft tailored to the mobility needs of future cities. What we do:

The SW Project Engineer leads project development and planning. They recognize and prioritize project risks and help remove roadblocks to move forward. This role collaborates with several groups within the organization.

What you can do:

  • With Research Engineers and Autonomy Engineers, analyze new technologies and features, come up with technical requirements, setup an advanced roadmap, conduct the Trade study and write report
  • Build, maintain, evaluate, and drive completion of compliance matrix documents and certification deliverables/reports
  • Lead R&D project development and project planning; identify and prioritize key project risks and help the team remove roadblocks to drive the projects forward
  • Effectively drive the decision-making process for project opens; highlight and appropriately bring up (as required) key issues to the R&D executive team
  • Understand complex technical topics and abstract key issues and risks into an actionable form for executive management
  • Effectively and consistently communicate overall project status
  • Other duties as assigned

What you can contribute:

  • Bachelor’s in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Knowledge of standard software engineering methodologies
  • Technical background in software and hardware with knowledge of end-to-end product development
  • Proficiency with ALM tools : Doors, Rhapsody or alike, JIRA, Jenkins, Git, Test DB
  • A solid track record of shipping complex new technology and experience in building algorithms
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including team building, conflict resolution, and management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality

You may also be able to contribute:

  • Master’s degree, preferred
  • Familiarity with agile development, cloud infrastructure and machine learning a plus
  • Experience working in Autonomous Drive projects or Aerospace Autonomy Projects is a huge plus

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of total compensation.
The pay range for this position is:
$166,400$232,960 USD
