What we do:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the development of eVTOL urban air mobility products, provides services solutions, technical guidance, and direction to the engineering team. This position requires an experienced professional with expertise in requirements definition, management, & performance measurement within a product development environment. The position works closely with different engineering functions and liaises closely with the Strategy Team to ensure requirements meet the needs of the customer and business.

What you can do:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Systems Engineering team and/or cross-disciplinary engineering team working on the development & certification of autonomous, passenger carrying, eVTOL aircraft
  • Providing technical direction and problem-solving solutions to IPT members
  • Mentor Engineers from other teams in all aspects of Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering industry standards
  • Facilitate new business initiatives through trade studies, concept development, proposal responses, and customer presentations
  • Support the product development capacity and planning process through active recruiting and retention of skilled employees
  • Work on the advancement of the product development process by providing technical support, developing tools and infrastructure, facilitating learning and continuity across teams

What you can contribute:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, material science/engineering, physics, chemistry, or related engineering fields
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a system engineering role in the aerospace industry (an equivalent combination of education experience may be considered)
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and Agile / Lean methodologies
  • Broad experience in systems design, development, integration, and certification
  • Demonstrated progression in inspiring and leading technical teams
  • Demonstrated excellence across all Systems Engineering domains, to include requirements (development and allocation), new business/concept development, system design and analysis, integration and test, and anomaly resolution/root cause investigations
  • Critical thinker, adept at relationship building and leading through influence
  • Experience with Requirement Management Tool DOORS and MBSE Tool Rhapsody (IBM tool suite)
  • Experience in aircraft (OEM) level systems engineering
  • Proficiency with Jira (Agile tool)
  • Experience with electric propulsion air or ground vehicles
  • Experience with FAA or EASA certification projects
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality

You may also be able to contribute:

  • Master’s or PH.D., in Aerospace/Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with rotary wing aircraft design and certification
  • Experience with high-rate automotive manufacturing
